The New York Mets are still looking for that catcher who can consistently start in 130 games or so. The guy on the market that could and should fit their price tag is…(Name that Molina…Bengie!). Molina has had a couple pretty decent offensive seasons for the Giants and his bat could be badly needed in New York as the Mets struggled to score runs due to injury. There really isn’t a prospect that’s considered the catcher of the future right now, so why not make a run at Bengie? Perhaps they’re saving their pennies for that Joe Mauer guy? Either way, if Omar Minaya isn’t looking for a catcher…well…you can fill in your own blanks.

Bengie headed to the Big Easy?
