In a shocking twist of events, argubaly the best right handed reliever on the market decided to accept arbitration and will return to Atlanta. I for one did not see this coming as I thought for sure he could land a 3 year deal worth a good 19-24 million a year. Apparently Soriano and his agent disagreed, and he’ll return to Atlanta to make them a real tough team in terms of the 8th and 9th innings.
Atlanta could go ahead and try and trade him, but Soriano has to approve any deal before June 15, 2010.
