1) Jerrod Parker-SP

Right hander whose coming off of Tommy John. All reports are saying he should be good to go in 2010. Throws hard- well he did prior to the surgery so hopefully he’s the same guy because he was pretty special.

2) Brandon Allen-1B

Came over from the Sox. I don’t know if he’ll ever hit for a high average, but the raw power to hit a lot of home runs is there.

3) AJ Pollock-OF

Good player. Might never be an all star but he does everything good. Gotta like a player that pretty much doesn’t have a serious weakness

4) Bobby Borchering-3B

had some struggles last year, but the talent is there. I think he’ll be able to figure out the professional strikezone sooner rather than later. Does need to work on his defense more if he wants to remain at third.

5) Marc Kruess-OF

Outstanding hitter. Dominated the college ranks than hit just over .300 last year in A ball. Could move up extremely fast. Not a pretty defender, but he gets it done.

6) Chris Owings-SS

It’s gonna be tough to break as a SS with Stephen Drew around, but I love his offensive ability. He might need to learn how to play second however if he wants to remain a Diamondback at the big league level. High stock

7) Cole Gillespie-OF

I like him. Good defender. He’ll steal a bag even though he’s not the fastest guy in the world. Hits well, hits well for power.

8) Mike Belfiore-SP

Left hander that gets alot of ground balls with a 2 seamer, and then will punch you out with a 4 seamer. Still young so needs room to grow.

9) Colin Cowgill-OF

Outstanding power. He can just flat out rake. I think he’ll have a higher average than most think. Decent defender as well with average wheels.

10) Wade Miley

Wade Miley is a little better than given credit for. I think he’ll be an okay from a 4th or 5th spot in a rotation in a few years. He doesn’t have the stuff to be a flat out ace, but he’s still got some upside.
