1) Madison Bumgarner-SP
We got to see a little bit of him last year and make no mistake about it. He’s the real deal and he’s going to be part of a flat out disgusting 1-3 with Timmy Lincecum and Matt Cain. I know the lack of velocity is a concern for many- but keep in mind…it’s a long season for a young pitcher.
2) Buster Posey-C
Set to take over full time in 2010 with Bengie Molina out of town. Outstanding athlete. Should hit- I’m curious to see how he calls a game while working with the arms the Giants have.
3) Roger Kieschnick-OF
Sick power. Has to make contact a little more, also has to walk a little more. The talent is there and he should be in AA next year.
4) Thomas Neal-OF
Awesome fall down in Arizona. He hit and he hit a lot. San Fran is excited about this kid.
5) Dan Runzler-RP/CP
Hard throwing left hander that has spells of wildness. When around the plate- he’s going to be as tough as any left handed reliever in baseball.
6) Tommy Joseph-C
Gonna be tough for him to crack the big league roster and would probably need an injury to Posey. He’s an outstanding defensive catcher with the main question being…will he hit just enough to be effective?
7) Aaron King- SP
Left handed power arm. Like most, he has trouble with his command. If he figures it out- he’s a high rotation guy.
8) Zach Wheeler-SP
First round pick with mad tools. I’m excited to see him pitch this year.
9) Jason Stoffel-RP/CP
Could be the closer of the future with his stuff.
10) Nick Noonan-2B
He might be over hyped a bit, but still has the chance to be a servicable middle infielder. The Giants still seem to like him- so why not?
