After the first week of the season it’s not the Yankees, Red Sox, or Rays that are in first place within the American League East. The Toronto Blue Jays have started off on the right foot going 5-2 with some great offensive production.

Vernon Wells added another home run (2-run shot) in the Jays loss last night in their home-opener last 8-7 in 11 innings. JC Romero will go against Gavin Floyd and the Chicago White Sox tonight at the Rogers Center in Toronto.

In other news, Adam Lind was resigned to a four year $18 million deal after a great year in 2009, and a good start to this season.
